Basic Symbolism of the Cornerstone Pictorial

The One Dollar Star of David

Did you know the Star of David is pictured on the back of every U.S. One Dollar Bill?

Star of David made up of 13 miniature five-pointed stars

Curiously, the Great Seal of the United States appears to contain an image of a Star of David, consisting of 13 smaller American Stars symbolizing the 13 original colonies, above the eagle’s head.

It’s not clear what the hexagram meant at the time of the American Revolution, so to attribute some intended national symbolism to it based on today’s meaning is mere speculation. The hexagram shape of the constellation of stars on the Great Seal may have simply been a rearrangement of the 13 stars on the first American flag.

The Four Elements and the Cornerstone

The Four Cornerstone (Judeo-Christian) Elements, which still hold scientific validity, are Earth, Air, Water, and Fire. When combined together, they form a hexagram, or a Star of David. The ancient symbols representing these four elements can be seen as follows:

I. The Element of Earth
II. The Element of Air
III. The Element of Water
Element Ikons
IV. The Element of Fire

The practice of Judeo-Christian Magick and Witchkraft involves the manipulation of these symbols, which naturally combine to form the Star of David. The traditional understanding of this concept can be visualized in a variety of ways as can be seen below:
