The All-Seeing Eye of Christ, not the Devil

The man who designed the original Eye of the Pyramid in 1782 as seen on the reverse side of the Great Seal of the United States (also seen on the back side of the one dollar bill) was NOT a Freemason, but a Christian (most probably a Protestant). How devout or traditional of a believer he actually was, we do not know, but it was definitely Christianity (and nothing else) that inspired the Eye theme, not Freemasonry. Here is why:

During a frugal meal, served by the monks who commissioned the painting, two disciples recognize Christ after the Resurrection, (Luke: 24). The naturalistic details precede the genre scenes of 17th century painting. Following the Council of Trent (1545 -1563) the eye of God seen above replaced the three-faced head of the Trinity. It was painted for the guesthouse of the Carthusian monastery at Galluzzo. However, following the suppression of convents, the work was transferred to the Accademia in 1810 and later to the collection of the Uffizi Gallery in 1948.

The eye that looks out from the top of Jacopo Pontormo’s painting, “Cena in Emmaus” is, to say the least, mysterious. Art is indeed what the vision makes of it but someone still has to bring the meal on a plate.

The triangle could be read simply as a symbol of Trinity but the artist has done a rare thing, surpassing even the best intentions of a modern surrealist. While we are looking at the painting, the painting is also looking at us. If we connect this observation with the apparition of the Resurrected Christ before two of his disciples, the painting, by its composition, studies the nature of belief. It makes us rethink what Christ’s resurrection meant to the disciples and by extension to Christians themselves. The painting reveals that the resurrection was a powerful ‘visual’ event. The affirmation of the ‘truth’ is in what the eye sees. We may suddenly realise that not only can God see everything, but we too can see him through Jesus as an incarnation. Belief is a reciprocal event. He shows not only just his earthly presence but that Man is indeed made in his image. 

God can now not only be ‘believed in’ but actually perceived using our senses.

The Roman number in the written name Benedict XVI is DCXVI which is 616, but the Italian spoken name Benedict IL XVI contains the number DCLXVI which is 666. It is apparent that the Bible wanted us to know that Benedict XVI is the one being spoken of.

Part II. The Bible and the Bathroom

Some may just call it a case of metaphorical coincidence, or a dirty sense of humor, but the Bible does seem to include a few key passages that refer directly to indoor plumbing in general and to the steel (iron) flusher in particular found attached to literally all 20th Century toilets. Did the Prophets know about the modern world or were they given direct access to the most advanced systems of waste disposal available 2,000 years ago? It’s hard to say, but even Angels, and perhaps the Holy Ghost, can sympathize with mere mortals who must still obey the call of nature in a proper, civilized manner and hopefully raise all of their children to do the same. Here are the pertinent Biblical passages:

Toilet Training and Biblical Prophecy

TOILET TRAINING: A young mother gives birth to a baby boy who is destined to someday lose his diapers and become properly toilet-trained which includes the use of the steel flushing toggle.
PROPHECY: And she gave birth to a son, a male child, who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron; and her child was caught up to God and to His throne. (Revelation 12:5)

TOILET TRAINING: She will teach him to use his left hand to wipe himself, and then flush it all down using the steel flush toggle into the sewer to be sanitized and properly disposed of…

Definitely Not the Anti-Christ

The mounting evidence that many fellow Americans are clinically insane can be clearly seen in a recent poll of ordinary Americans who were asked if they thought President Barack Obama, the first black president in this nation’s obviously racist history, was the anti-Christ. Here are some of the relevant statistics:

– Unbelievably, 18 percent of conservatives truly believed that he was the legendary anti-Christ destined to destroy the 2,000 year-old kingdom of Christianity that has basically ruled the world ever since.
– An astonishing 24 percent of Hispanics and 24 percent of those under 30 also agreed that mild-mannered Obama was the evil one himself. Why they thought so remains a deeply disturbing mystery.
– Unbelievably, 6 percent of Democrats also agreed with the insane accusation that the undisputed leader of the free world also happens to be the anti-Christ. They must surely regret their rash decision to vote for such a dangerous demonic tyrant who also happens to be the happily married father of two daughters.

As a whole, this recent news merely goes to show that this nation is clearly in trouble with substantial numbers of its prone to some of the most delusional, and possibly damaging, beliefs the modern world has ever seen.

Make no mistake about it. The Anti-Christ will be an openly Satanic, sexual degenerate who will gleefully harness the latent, spiritual power of lust, fornication, and sodomy in a ritual manner in order to punish and enslave those who would still dare to believe in the one, true God of the Bible.

For all his so-called faults President Barack Obama is clearly a deeply Christian man, who has yet to succomb to the diabolical, insidious temptation to commit adultery upon his beautiful wife and mother of his two virgin daughters.

In reality, the Obama family is a shining example of how true, monogamous love is still possible to achieve, even in this decadent and corrupt American nation of the 21st century. Both he and his wife are a clearly Christian blessing upon this country whose citizens definitely need an example of what a normal, loving two-parent household is really like. It matter what the president does behind closed doors and it matters that Barack Obama is a faithful and courageous husband who also happens to be the most powerful man on earth. No, the current president of the United States is most definitely not the anti-Christ.

In many ways, he is already a truly American hero who has shown the African and African-American world that nothing, even the legacy of slavery and hatred, can keep them from becoming the future Christian leaders of both today and tomorrow and throughout the centuries which lie ahead.
